5 YOU-nique Kitchen Ideas!

Not into the latest Pinterest trend? That's more than ok at Luxury! Sometimes your style just doesn't match everyone else's. There are so many ways for you to make your home your own and I for one, believe that it should reflect everything great about you!

Here are some ideas that might hit closer to your creative bone. These are local projects for real people. So take a look and tell us what you think!

1. Use light

We were lucky enough to work with a very challenging but beautiful stone recently. You’ve seen bar tables lit up through a creamy stone on HGTV, but what about a whole kitchen? An amazing local designer teamed up with Luxury and this homeowner to create one of our favourite kitchens! All with beautiful onyx granite!

2. Bold. Bright. And Fabulous.

Are you tired of all the minimalist, clean, sharp, and really boring designs? Me too. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE clean and sleek, but our home is not a show home, and my life is anything but spotless. That’s why I love this 1621 Club design. It’s dark, it’s moody, but it’s also kind of comforting. Plus, no white which means a lot more Cabernet Sauvignon!

3. Imperfection at it's finest

Looking for that edgy natural look? What about a rock face edge? This is a finished edge that's made to look unfinished. Melissa (from Melissa & Tyson, the Regina Ambassador, and all the other cool projects that she’s involved in) lives in one heck of a cool home! Her countertops are a little more “edgy” than the norm but that’s what we love about them!

4. S.I.M.P.L.E.

Super impressive majestic and pleasant with Lovely Elements. Kidding.

I’m talking really simple. There is not one thing wrong with taking basic quartz like Blanco Maple and throwing it into a room. The best thing about it is that there are ENDLESS possibilities once it’s there, you could paint your cabinets any shade of well… anything, and it would still look beautiful. Plus it’s quartz so it’s no maintenance and resists staining. This kitchen took this low-cost option and placed it into a high end design.

5. The Classic Modern

This may sound contradicting, but it’s a real style. Take the kitchen below for example. Modern twists like two toned cabinets and square sinks, paired with classic shapes and trims, bring this kitchen into the future without forgetting about the great styles of the past.

The most important thing to remember when doing a renovation, is that it’s for YOU. No one has the exact same taste or style, but that’s exactly why we have so many options available at Luxury!
